The LES650 from Integrated Biometrics is an USB 2.0 fingerprint scanner based on company's proprietary light emitting sensor (LES) technology.
The LES sensor has multiple layers.
The external layers read a finger.
A luminescent layer then produces a preliminary fingerprint image that is scanned by an optical sensor.
The resulting image has high quality even when dirty, dry or rough fingers are scanned.
Also the LES technology allows to perform live finger detection.
The LES sensor withstands millions of touches and is resistant to physical contamination.
- Security – the sensor is able to detect a live finger, thus rejecting latent, spoof or fake fingerprints.
- Usability – the dry, dirty or rough fingers are read normally, thus almost 100% users can enroll their fingerprints without any rejections.
- Durability – the scanner's testing shows that it is able to produce the same high quality images even after 1.5 million touches.
