SecuGen Hamster IV is an FBI FIPS 201 / PIV compliant optical fingerprint scanner with USB 2.0 connection. The scanner is based on a rugged and advanced optical sensor using patented SEIR fingerprint biometric technology.
SecuGen iD-USB SC/PIV is based on the same fingerprint sensor. It features fingerprint scanner and smart card reader in one device.
The Kojak is a compact ten-finger biometric scanner which is manufactured by Integrated Biometrics.
The reader is based on proprietary LES (Light Emitting Sensor) technology, which ensures high-quality fingerprint scanning even when dirty, dry or rough fingers are scanned. SecuGen Hamster Pro 20 is a compact optical fingerprint reader which captures single flat fingers. The scanner is compliant with FIPS 201 / PIV (FIPS-201) and Mobile ID FAP20 requirements.
According to the manufacturer, Hamster Pro 20 is able to reject spoof fingerprint images and latent fingerprints, thus preventing certain types of fraud like using photocopied fingerprints. The scanner works well with dry, aged or scarred fingerprints.
