SecuGen Hamster Pro 20 is a compact optical fingerprint reader which captures single flat fingers. The scanner is compliant with FIPS 201 / PIV (FIPS-201) and Mobile ID FAP20 requirements.
According to the manufacturer, Hamster Pro 20 is able to reject spoof fingerprint images and latent fingerprints, thus preventing certain types of fraud like using photocopied fingerprints. The scanner works well with dry, aged or scarred fingerprints.
Hamster Pro 20 has IP65 rating, meaning that the scanner’s internals are completely sealed and protected from dust and water projected from a nozzle. The fingerprint reader is based on scratch-resistant and impact-proof sensor, therefore it is suitable for certain high-traffic and mobile applications.

The U.are.U 4500 Module is intended for integration into devices like PC keyboards, POS terminals or kiosks, entry and/or attendance control devices, etc. Technically the module is an OEM version of optical U.are.U 4500 fingerprint reader without metal case.
