Futronic FS81 is an OEM module version of FS80 fingerprint scanner. The module includes a CMOS sensor with precise optical system for fingerprint capture. The optical system allows to capture fingerprint images without any distortions.
Problematic fingerprints (wet, dry or blurred) can be reliably scanned with the module as it uses infra-red LEDs for finger illumination. Image quality optimization is obtained by automatical adjustment of illumination intensity for each finger.
FS81 module has rugged sensor with a crown glass scanning window (14 mm thickness).
The module includes a 5 pin JST connector for connecting to USB host.
EikonTouch 710 from DigitalPersona is a PIV (FIPS 201) certified fingerprint reader, based on TCS1C capacitive sensor.
The manufacturer specifies that the device has SteelCoat coating, which can withstand more than 2 million touches. Also specified the rugged IP63-rated casing, meaning that the device is sealed from contact with dust and withstands spraying water.
The DactyScan40i from Green Bit is an optical fingerprint reader that is able to capture dual flat fingerprints and single rolled or flat fingerprints. The scanner is certified by FBI as IAFIS IQS Appendix F and PIV compliant.
The manufacturer specifies that the scanner is compact, has low power consumption from USB port, and thus is suitable for high-traffic mobile ID solutions, like border control, on-the-road identification, passport issuance etc. The device has also 10 LEDs (one for each finger) for more convenient capture of all 10 fingerprints from a person.
The Cross Match Guardian USB and FW are part of optical fingerprint scanners family intended for fast capture of all 10 fingerprints. The scanners are certified by FBI for both civil ID flats and full criminal ten-print flats. Scanners image quality complies with FBI’s IAFIS Appendix F specification.
These Guardian scanners are available as different models with high-speed USB 2.0 or IEEE 1394 (FireWire) interfaces, and options for rolled or flat-only fingerprints capture.
