Futronic FS28 is an autonomous fingerprint scanner. The scanner uses Bluetooth interface for connecting with a host device, like PC, tablet or smart phone. FS28 can also be connected to the host via USB port.
FS28 fingerprint reader was certified by the FBI as PIV-071006 / FIPS-201 compliant, making it suitable for using in U.S. government systems. It can be also used for various applications like field usage by law enforcement officers, attendance check in remote locations etc.
The device features a built-in LCD screen with 128 x 64 pixel resolution. There are also four buttons for operating the device. The device can report its status via red/blue LED or buzzer.
FS28 is powered by Li-ion battery, which can be recharged by connecting to host’s USB port or using the included AC charger.
The manufacturer specifies that FS28 can be used as a remote scanner, which is fully controlled from a host device via Bluetooth. Users can integrate the scanner into their system and send commands to the scanner to perform operations like fingerprint image capture or showing custom messages on the device screen depending on the situation.
Futronic FS81 is an OEM module version of FS80 fingerprint scanner. The module includes a CMOS sensor with precise optical system for fingerprint capture. The optical system allows to capture fingerprint images without any distortions.
Problematic fingerprints (wet, dry or blurred) can be reliably scanned with the module as it uses infra-red LEDs for finger illumination. Image quality optimization is obtained by automatical adjustment of illumination intensity for each finger.
FS81 module has rugged sensor with a crown glass scanning window (14 mm thickness).
Futronic’s FS88H is an enhanced version of FS80H fingerprint scanner. The FS88H was certified by FBI to be compliant with PIV-071006 Image Quality Specification for Single Finger Reader. The scanner is also listed in the US General Services Administration (GSA) FIPS 201 Evaluation Program Approved Product List. The FS88H meets the US Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201) for Personal Identification Verification (PIV) of Federal Employees and Contractors.
The scanner is suitable for high-traffic applications like border control, identity card, driver license, election or any other type of civilian AFIS, as it is able to capture high quality fingerprint images almost without distortions and has a rugged sensor.
SecuGen Hamster Pro is a compact single fingerprint reader intended for projects, which need basic fingerprint scanning functionality for a reasonable price.
According to the manufacturer, the scanner is based on durable fingerprint sensor, which is impact-proof and resistant to scratches and other stresses. The sensor works well with dry, aged or scarred fingerprints.
